Online Safety is Important
People will pretend to be me, be your followers, or even be your family. Don't fall for these tactics and use some of these tips below to remain safe online and avoid getting scammed or taken advantage of!
The Dad Next Door Official Payment Methods and Info

Just assume it's not me! It's true that I park accounts in other places and sometimes I can't always get "TheDadNextDoor" exactly how I want, but I am going to make sure the official accounts are listed at the bottom. If it's not there, it's not me. The safest thing to do is not respond and use the buttons below to contact me directly and ask if it's me or not.
It's not me... I'm not asking you for money.
I'm not in jail, I'm not in Mexico, I'm not in the hospital, and I'm not in a bind and need to buy a new computer, cell phone, or bribe a dirty cop.
I'll never ask you to buy crypto, I'll never ask you to help me buy crypto.
I'll never tell you that we're secret lovers and I am coming to see you, but I need you to buy me a plane ticket because I can't have it show up on my credit card statement.
This is a common tactic. I know a lot of people don't like how often I change my profile picture, but if you see an older profile picture, it's probably not me. Scammers are crafty and may catch up quickly, but the best way to tell is by reaching out to the official links provided here. Please PLEASE use official links before you do ANYTHING with someone who claims to be me.
If you have been scammed, conned, or victimized in any way... I'm truly sorry that you have experienced this. I have seen very smart and very vigilant people fall victim and the first step is to stop all communications with the person in question. The next steps can be important to further protecting yourself.
1.) DO NOT GIVE ANYMORE MONEY. Seriously, lock it down, report the account, block the account, and stop communication with them.
2.) Change your password. Many people use the same password over multiple platforms, so change them all. If you don't have 2-Factor Authentication turned on (2FA), turn it on immediately.
3.) Reach out to me at one of the links below. If you block a legitimate account, you can always reach me somewhere else and we'll figure it out. I would rather be accidentally blocked and work it out with you later than for you to get scammed by someone pretending to be me.
3.) If you sent any money, call the local sheriff's department and file a police report. It most likely won't get you your money back, but if the scammer is ever actually caught, the more reports against them will mean harsher punishment.
Listen... You're a good person. You care, you tried to help someone you thought was in need, and it unfortunately wasn't legit. These guys are good and use emotion to try and take advantage of good people with kind hearts. Don't let this stop you from being a good person, just try to learn and be more vigilant next time.
No... 100% no. I have a CashApp and Donation link listed on the front page of this site. These are for donations for new merch or to support the page. Not for "memberships" or any kind, secret relationships, crypto, or because I'm in a pinch. (I have a credit card for that!)
Here's a good YouTube link that helps support what you've already read. Be safe and Good Luck!
